Elton John and Time Rice wrote songs with the original score by Hans Zimmer. The film was produced by Don Hahn and directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff from a screenplay by Irene Mecci, Jonathan Roberts and Linda Woolverton. Thomas Schumacher and Sarah McArthur were the executive producers.
