Craig T. Nelson, who perhaps lost more games then he won in a series called Coach, has now upgraded his status to head of a metropolitan police department in The District. One of Hollywood's most talented actors, Nelson, as Jack Mannion, tackles dramas inspired by the real life experiences of former New York Deputy Police Commissioner Jack Maple.

He is a tenacious champion of the underdog and an avowed crime fighter whose revolutionary tactics result in a decrease in crime. The CBS series explores the emotions and thinking of both the police and the criminals and takes us inside a big city department to portray the everyday drama Nelson and his detectives are up against.

Together, Mannion and his team form a modern-day "Untouchables", determined to make the District a more livable place for all its citizens.
